Welcome to ANCIS Incorporated
ANCIS' forte is advanced indoor environmental and energy solutions for facilities in general and for mission-critical facilities in particular. Our roots can be traced to the legendary Bell Communications Research (Bellcore); we have extensive knowledge of telecom facilities, data centers, and computational research facilities. And, we understand computer modeling of complex building systems from the ground up. ANCIS is uniquely positioned to provide truly optimized solutions.

Products and Services Overview
Software: The Rack Cooling Index (RCI) ® Software automates the task of calculating the RCI metric for IT-equipment intake temperatures stored in Excel ®. The RCI is a best practice performance metric for quantifying the conformance with thermal data center standards such as ASHRAE and NEBS. The metric is widely referenced, including ASHRAE Datacom Series, ANSI/BICSI ® 002-2011 Data Center Standard, and The Green Grid ® Data Center Maturity Model. For more information, please see our RCI page.
System Design: Designing customized HVAC and energy systems, including feasibility studies, conceptual designs, and standards development. Project Highlights: Developed air-management and cooling solutions for the next Supercomputer Center at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL), and provided Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) modeling and analysis of the first U.S. pre-qualified platinum LEED data center for Advanced Data Centers (ADC).

System Review: Identifying shortcomings in HVAC and energy systems, including environmental and energy audits, third-party design reviews, and standards and code compliance. Project Highlights: Lead for developing the Department of Energy (DOE) Data Center Energy Practitioner (DCEP) Program, and developing components of the DOE Data Center Energy Assessment Program including the DC Pro Software Tool Suite.
